# Dashboard

> Arrange your own dashboard of widgets for tenders, deadlines, actions and pipeline

The **Dashboard** is your home page in Stralos. It is a grid of widgets that you can move, resize, hide, and add to. Every widget only uses the projects you can open, and your layout is saved to your own sign-in.

Open **Dashboard** from the global navigation.

## Your starting layout

Until you save a layout of your own, the dashboard shows the default for your role:

| Role | Default widgets |
| - | - |
| Admin | **Pricing value**, **Submitted value**, **Closing in 14 days**, and **My overdue actions** across the top, then **Needs attention**, **Upcoming deadlines**, **My projects**, **Tender pipeline**, **Awaiting decision**, **Quick actions**, **Won work and upcoming starts**, **Estimating workload**, and **Requests waiting on you**. |
| Member | The same top row, then **Needs attention**, **Upcoming deadlines**, **My projects**, **Tender pipeline**, **Awaiting decision**, **Quick actions**, and **Recently worked on**. |
| Contractor guest | **Closing in 14 days** and **My overdue actions**, then **Needs attention**, **Upcoming deadlines**, **My projects**, **Quick actions**, and **Recently worked on**. Guests never see widgets with business-wide figures or values. |

### Suggest a layout

The first time you open the dashboard, a **What do you mostly do?** card may appear. Tick the options that fit, for example **I price jobs and put tenders together** or **I run the business**, then click **Show my dashboard**. Stralos sets up a layout of up to eight widgets that suit your answers. Click **Skip** to keep the default.

To see the card again later, click **Customise**, then **Suggest a layout for me**.

## Customise your dashboard

1. Click **Customise**.
2. Drag widgets to move them, and drag their edges to resize them. Each widget has its own minimum and maximum size.
3. To add a widget, click **Add widget**, then **Add** beside the one you want. If every widget you can use is already showing, the panel says so.
4. To hide a widget, open its **⋯** menu and choose **Hide**. You can add it back later from **Add widget**.
5. Click **Tidy up** to move every widget as high as it fits. Gaps you leave are not closed unless you tidy up.
6. Click **Done** to save, or **Cancel** to discard your changes.

Click **Use the default for my role** while customising to go back to your role's starting layout.

If your layout cannot be saved, Stralos shows "Your layout could not be saved just now. Please try again." If you hide every widget, the dashboard shows **Your dashboard is empty.** Choose **Customise** to add some back.

### Chart and table views

Several widgets can show their rows as a chart or as a table. Use the **Chart** / **Table** switch in the widget's title bar. Stralos remembers your choice for each widget.

| Widget | Opens as |
| - | - |
| **Needs attention** | Table |
| **Awaiting decision** | Table |
| **Won work and upcoming starts** | Table |
| **Upcoming deadlines** | Chart |
| **Tender pipeline** | Chart |
| **Estimating workload** | Chart |
| **Tender performance** | Chart |
| **Reasons lost** | Chart |

When a widget has nothing to chart, it shows the table only.

## Widgets

### Value and count cards

| Card | What it shows |
| - | - |
| **Pricing value** | The current value of the tenders you are pricing, excluding GST, and how many there are. |
| **Submitted value** | What your tenders awaiting a decision were submitted at, excluding GST. |
| **Closing in 14 days** | How many of your tenders close in the next 14 days, and the next closing date. |
| **My overdue actions** | How many of your actions are past their due date, and how long the oldest has been overdue. |
| **Win rate** | The share of your decided tenders that were won in the last 12 months. Not on the default layout; add it from **Add widget**. |

**Pricing value** notes how many tenders are not priced yet, and **Submitted value** how many have no submitted value. A tender with no price, or a price of zero, counts as not priced yet rather than as zero.

### Needs attention

**Needs attention** lists what is waiting on you, most urgent first:

| Label | Meaning |
| - | - |
| **Overdue** | An open action past its due date. |
| **Due soon** | An open action due in the next 7 days. |
| **Follow-up** | A submitted tender whose next follow-up date has arrived. |
| **Missing** | A lead or estimating project with no target submission date. |
| **Approval** | A tender approval request waiting on you. |

Each item links to the record and shows when it is due, for example **Due tomorrow** or **3 days overdue**. When nothing is waiting, the widget says **Nothing needs your attention right now.**

If **Needs attention** sits lower down in a layout you saved, Stralos may offer once to move it to the top. Click **Move it** to place it under the cards, or **No thanks** to leave your layout as it is.

### Projects and deadlines

| Widget | What it shows |
| - | - |
| **Upcoming deadlines** | Tender closing dates, site visits, questions closing, and planned starts. Choose the next **7 days**, **14 days**, or **30 days**. |
| **My projects** | The projects you are on, with their **Stage**, what is **Next**, and their **Tender value**. Click **All my projects** to open the full list. |
| **Awaiting decision** | Submitted tenders still waiting on the client, with their tender value, how long they have been **Waiting**, and the **Next follow-up**. If a follow-up date is not set, you can add one from the row. |
| **Won work and upcoming starts** | Won projects and the planned starts in the next 30 days. |
| **Recently worked on** | Projects you opened lately on this device. |
| **Pinned projects** | Projects you pinned on this device. |
| **Quick actions** | Shortcuts such as **New project**, **Open my projects**, and **Resource library**. |
| **Requests waiting on you** | Requests to join a project that you can approve, oldest first. |

Dates such as "today" and "in 3 days" use your business's time zone, not your device's clock.

#### Tender value

**My projects** and **Awaiting decision** show a project's tender value the same way as the estimate overview's **Tender price (excl. GST)**:

* Once a tender has been submitted, the submitted price shows first, with the submission date. If the current draft has moved since, its value appears underneath as **Current draft**.
* Before submission, the current draft's value shows with **Not submitted yet**.
* A tender with no price, or a price of zero, shows **Not priced yet**.

### Pipeline and performance

| Widget | What it shows |
| - | - |
| **Tender pipeline** | How many of your tenders sit at each stage before a decision, and their current value. |
| **Estimating workload** | One row per lead, with the tenders they are pricing, their next closing date, and any closing dates that fall within 2 days of each other. Tenders with no lead are counted separately. |
| **Tender performance** | Win rate by number and by value, with how many decided tenders it is based on. Choose a period of 30 days, 90 days, or 12 months. |
| **Reasons lost** | The reasons chosen when tenders were marked lost, with each reason's count and share. |

To record a loss reason, see [Mark lost](https://help.stralos.app/guides/estimators/projects.md#mark-lost).

## Business setup banner

If you are an admin and your business setup is not finished, a **Set up your business** banner appears at the top of the dashboard. It names the next step and has a button to it, such as **Add your office**, **Add a client**, or **Add a resource**.

See [Setup checklist](https://help.stralos.app/guides/admins/setup-checklist.md).

## All my companies

If you belong to more than one company, a **Showing** switch appears in the dashboard header. Choose **This company** for the dashboard described above, or **All my companies** to see your work across your companies on one page.

The **All my companies** view has its own layout of widgets: **Your companies**, **Closing soon**, **Upcoming starts**, **My projects**, **Requests waiting**, and **Recently worked on**. It shows only projects you can open in each company, and no prices.

Click **Choose your companies** to tick the companies to include, up to 50. If a company cannot be loaded, the view names it and shows the rest.

## If a widget cannot load

A widget that cannot load shows "This could not be loaded just now." with a **Try again** button. The rest of the dashboard keeps working. A widget with nothing to show for your projects says **Nothing to show for the projects you can open.**
