# Reviewing estimates

> Manager review checklist for tender estimates

Manager review should focus on whether the estimate is complete, traceable, and commercially defensible.

## Review checklist

* Project details, client, reference, status, and location are correct.
* Tender documents have processed and any failures are understood.
* Pending AI suggestions have been accepted, rejected, or deliberately left pending.
* Takeoff measurements use correct scales and units.
* Work items are complete, named clearly, and grouped sensibly.
* Components have clear pricing sources.
* Project rate overrides are documented and tender-specific.
* TAGs reflect the documents.
* Assumptions, exclusions, obligations, and risk notes have been reviewed.

## Reviewing AI contributions

Accepted suggestions should be treated as user-approved records. Check the resulting records, not only the original suggestion card. Pay particular attention to testing requirements, TAGs, and unmatched rates.

## Sign-off habit

Review after the team has finished document processing and again after pricing source choices change. Totals can move when quantities, rates, or project overrides change.
